Cristo torna alla terra Christ | Returns to the Earth

Nell’opera Cristo torna alla terra, Gesù giace sul suolo per ri-dare vita e rigenerare l’umanità. La presenza di giovani donne raccolte attorno a lui è il mio personale atto di riconoscenza verso tutte coloro che, nella storia come nella contempora-neità, operano attivamente nella Chiesa, rivestendo il ruolo di custodi della fede e affermandosi come figure profetiche e di leadership.
In the work Christ Returns to Earth, Jesus lies on the earth to restore life and regenerate humanity. The young women gath-ered around him represent my personal tribute to all women who, throughout history and into the present day, actively work within the Church—serving as guardians of the faith and estab-lishing themselves as prophetic and leadership figures.

L’opera Lo sguardo di Cristo è un primo piano incentrato sui suoi occhi. Uno sguardo che non si ritrae: Gesù non abbassa gli occhi perché non aveva mai smesso di sognare un mondo di fratelli. Possiamo guardare al mondo proprio come fece lui: come il luogo in cui ostinarsi a costruire ponti e a sperare.
The work The Gaze of Christ is a close-up focused on his eyes. A gaze that does not retreat: Jesus does not lower his eyes be-cause he had never stopped dreaming of a world of brothers. We can look at the world as he did: as a place where we persist in building bridges and in hoping.

Quando ho realizzato Cristo nostro contemporaneo, ho pensa-to proprio a un ritratto, come se Gesù fosse seduto di fronte a me. Una presenza viva, reale, capace di incontrare l’uomo di ogni tempo. Gesù è ancora e sempre “nostro contemporaneo”, Persona capace di toccare l’essenza della nostra umanità.
When I created Christ Our Contemporary, I imagined a por-trait, as if Jesus were sitting before me. A living, real presence, capable of encountering people of all times. Jesus is still and always “our contemporary,” a Person capable of touching the essence of our humanity.

L’Abbraccio di Cristo mostra un Gesù privo di spine, chiodi o sofferenza: fluttua nell’aria in pace e abbraccia il pubblico a occhi chiusi. In questo modo ho voluto trasmettere il suo va-lore salvifico che, per me, non risiede tanto nel dolore fisico della croce, quanto nel suo essere un esempio straordinario di una vita vissuta nell’amore, nella coerenza e nella piena realiz-zazione del potenziale umano.
The Embrace of Christ portrays a Jesus liberated from thorns, nails, and suffering; he floats serenely in the air, embracing the audience with closed eyes. In this way, I sought to convey his redemptive value. For me, this lies not in the physical agony of the crucifixion, but in his existence as a sublime example of a life rooted in love, integrity, and the ultimate fulfillment of hu-man potential.”
