LA LIBRE ELECCIÓN
Cuando ya se está muerto,
no queda mucho por perder.
Estarnos quietos en la tumba,
apagando lentamente la mente al negro,
o sobrevivir apretando las manos sobre el borde de la sepultura,
comprendiendo que la vida está hecha
de sucesivas muertes y sucesivas vidas.
¿Por qué vivir?
¿Por qué morir?
Esa es una decisión nuestra.
Por primera vez justa y voluntaria.
Ya no es la vida que nos tocó vivir;
es la vida que nos damos nosotros mismos.
Si decidimos volver a respirar:
¡no más lamentos!, ¡no más culpables!, ¡no más excusas para no vivir!.
LA LIBERA SCELTA
Da morti non si ha molto da perdere.
Giacere immobili nella tomba, mentre la mente cede alle tenebre,
o rinascere aggrappandosi al bordo della sepoltura e comprendere che la vita e’ fatta di morti e di vite successive.
Vivere?
Morire?
Questa è una nostra decisione
Per la prima volta, una scelta volontaria e giusta.
La vita che scegliamo adesso non e’ quella che ci fu imposta,
e’ il dono che ci siamo concessi.
Se decidiamo di respirare nuovamente,
Nessun lamento!
Nessun colpevole!
Nessuna scusa per non vivere!

we don’t have much to lose.

while our mind yields to the darkness
Or we rise again, gripping the edge of the grave
understanding that life is made of death and lives to come
Live?
Die?
The choice is ours. For the first time, a right and voluntary choice.
The life we choose now is not the life which was imposed on us, it is the gift we have given ourselves.
If we decide to breathe again,
No complaints!
No one is guilty!
No excuses for not living!
